A Romantic and Spiritual Daintree Elopement Story
As a Cairns marriage celebrant, I had the privilege of helping Jade and Mitch create an intimate Daintree rainforest elopement that felt peaceful, connected, and utterly their own. This North Queensland adventure elopement was wrapped in nature, luxury (in their gorgeous accommodation close by), and love — a celebration of spirit and soul surrounded by the ancient rainforest.
Their Vision

The Setting
Location: A secret, rustically luxurious hideaway deep in the Daintree Rainforest.
This breathtaking Daintree elopement location offered privacy, serenity, and timeless rainforest beauty — the perfect backdrop for a ceremony that felt otherworldly.
My Role as Their Celebrant
As both wedding planner and celebrant, I helped bring Jade and Mitch’s vision to life.
They had a clear dream — to be surrounded by nature and love, with just the two of them and the forest. I sourced the perfect rainforest retreat, brought together an incredible team — Eva from True Emotions Photography, Tayla from Jade Films, and Shae from Tropical Beauty for Jade’s stunning look.
On the day, I set up the rug, candles, and ceremony space exactly as Jade imagined — and the weather gods smiled. It was one of the most magical moments I’ve ever been part of.
Unique Touches
They married surrounded by glowing candles in the forest, with a handfasting ceremony and a prayer of their choosing.
We included a first look moment for Mitch before Jade’s entrance, framed photos of their beloved dogs, and an impromptu first dance beneath the trees.
I surprised them with a sparkler photoshoot and a champagne toast to finish the evening — the perfect ending to a truly unforgettable Daintree adventure elopement.
